Gallery Talk

The next two weeks will find me teaching plein air oil and watercolor classes in Saugatuck, Michigan through Saugatuck Center for the Arts.  Sandwiched in between will be the opening reception for the "Local Scenes" group show at The Button Gallery in Saugatuck, on Sunday, July 27 in the afternoon, where I will have five new large paintings.  You can see them in the landscape collection on my website.  They are Saturday Afternoon, Hayfield, Pumpkin Harvest, Shoreline Reflections and Sunset Reflections. Pictured here is Shoreline Reflections. The show will run through August 16.

I am now looking for additional gallery represention, which I would like to have throughout different parts of the country. The last two years have found me rearranging my personal life, but now it is time to establish a "family of galleries" where my paintings can be seen and purchased. The palette knife work and color in my paintings is best appreciated in real life, and of course there is nothing that compares with seeing original artwork in person. If you know of a gallery in your area where you would like to be able to see my paintings, please drop me an email at diane@dianeolsenstudio.com,  to let me know the name and location of the gallery.  There are so many wonderful galleries and being represented by the right ones for my work is very important.

Also, take a moment to look at my June blog about my contribution to "The Horse Gift", a fabulous mural mosaic project out of Canada honoring the horse.

Thanks for taking the time to read my latest blog!
