Some time ago I was invited to participate in the exciting mural mosaic project out of Alberta, Canada that honors the horse. Being invited honored me. I am a horse lover and horse owner and gladly agreed to paint a 16"x16" panel on which I painted "Graycie Girl" or Zippos Impressive Lu, a registered American Quarter Horse who I owned for almost 5 years and just sold to a wonderful person who loves her dearly. He just so happens to be from Canada, and I thought an image of Graycie for the mural would be extra special. She was my "Graycie Girl" and so I titled the painting reflecting my relationship with her.
Prints will be available of the entire mural once it is put together, and I will be selling prints of my panel by mid July. Please email me at email@example.com if you might be interested in a print of my panel and I can let you know when it is available and the cost.
I just finished this painting and will be sending it to the organizers by July 1. You can read about this fabulous project at www.muralmosaic.com. My painting had to match the color and values in the space where my panel will be placed. It will be in space #29. When you visit the website you will see what that means.
Stormy, my beautiful, black, big Tennessee Walker and I will be going on a private cattle drive in New Mexico the end of June, something neither of us has ever done before. I am going with a group of eight, most of whom will be riding for 5 days. Stormy and I are going to ride for 3 days and take the last two off so that I can paint plein air. I will be in the "Nomadas Del Arte" plein air show in Dallas next April, and the painting I create in New Mexico will be in the April show.
It doesn't get better than that for me. Riding my horse, plein air painting, great friends, beautiful country and a new challenge. Sounds like I might be a Sagittarius :) And if that should not mean anything, then being true to my spirit does. I am thankful for all of life's great gifts, God's beautiful horse among the best of them. Comment on or Share this Article →
