"Sunrise"
After spending the month of November in Michigan, I am back in the Arizona desert, a land I love. On the Friday after Thanksgiving, I was in The Button Gallery in Saugatuck, Michigan for the afternoon. Many people stopped in to say hello and I painted while enjoying great conversations.
It is a three day road trip when driving it alone and my camera was always ready, taking pictures even while driving, of some of the natural beauty of our land along the way. The painting shown here, "Sunrise", was inspired by a Missouri sunrise I had the priviledge to see. The breathtaking beauty and dramatic change in scenery along the course of that long drive are inspirational to say the least. Opportunities to see everything in a new, fresh way are around every corner and along every stretch of highway of this wonderful country.
